Everything you need to know about Tiny Tadpoles lessons — so you and your child feel confident before the first splash.
Unlike group swim classes, every Tiny Tadpoles lesson is designed around your child — their personality, comfort level, and learning style. Avery comes directly to your home, so your child learns in a familiar, relaxed environment.
Before any swimming skill is introduced, Avery builds water comfort and reviews basic safety rules. For nervous or hesitant children, this phase can take as long as it needs to — there's no rush.
Each session builds on the last. Avery tracks your child's progress and adapts each lesson to push them just far enough — challenging without overwhelming.
Avery wraps every lesson with a positive moment — a skill mastered, a goal reached, or just a fun game in the water. Kids leave excited for next time, not exhausted or discouraged.
From first splash to refined technique, Tiny Tadpoles welcomes every swimmer.
Ages 2–5. Water introduction, comfort, basic safety, and splashy fun. Parent participation welcome.
Ages 6–12. Learning to float, kick, and swim independently for the first time.
Already comfortable in water but wants to improve stroke, endurance, or water safety skills.
Never too late to learn! Private lessons mean zero self-consciousness. Beginners to refinement.

Just your swimsuit and a towel. Avery brings all teaching materials and equipment needed for the lesson.
Lessons are typically [30 or 45] minutes. Duration can be adjusted based on age, attention span, and goals.
Most students see the best results with [2x] per week. Once weekly is also available. Avery will recommend what suits your child.
That's exactly who Tiny Tadpoles is designed for. Avery is patient, calm, and experienced with hesitant swimmers. We never rush or pressure — we let each child set the pace until they're comfortable and ready to progress.
Not required — but parents are absolutely welcome to be poolside or even in the water for young toddlers. Many younger children feel more comfortable with a parent nearby at first.
Safety first! Lessons will be rescheduled in the event of lightning, strong wind, or extreme temperatures. Avery will contact you as soon as possible to find a replacement time.
Every child is different. Some make remarkable progress in just a few sessions; others benefit from a longer, slower journey. Avery will give you an honest assessment after the first lesson.
